| The road to Highland Lakes is mostly dirt and gravel, and very steep and rough in places. It goes about 8 or 9 kilometers from the main road, dropping into a deep canyon and making a water crossing before climbing up to Highland Lakes. Apparently, a cattle ranch uses the canyon for summer grazing, and the cattle occassionally wander onto the road. |
